In response to the Mutual Mission Agreement of 1985 between the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Presbyterian-Reformed Church of Cuba, the participating churches of the National Capital Presbytery seek to pursue and strengthen the call of doing mission in partnership with our brothers and sisters of the Presbyterian-Reformed Church in Cuba. Reaffirming the tenets of the Agreement, we emphasize that together we are called to deepen the bonds of unity, faith, and common witness between our two churches; that we are called to be peacemakers, creating bonds of friendship and understanding between our peoples; that we are committed to sharing our gifts and resources with one another to strengthen the witness of our churches. In walking the path of Christ together as one church, we seek to promote Reconciliation between our peoples, our governments, and our churches.
