It was a day of community outreach and worship, with church members spreading out between 7 different service sites, engaging in multi-generational work that helped not only the immediate community, but reached out around the world!
Silver Spring Presbyterian Church received a grant to build a better fence for their community garden. The garden, an important part of church fellowship, was being damaged by deer and other wildlife. The fence offered protection from foraging fauna which will in turn offer strong crop yields, and a stronger sense of community among the congregation's gardeners.
The Church of the Covenant received a grant for their work in immigrant ministries. The Grant went to help fund a part time Chaplain to work with day laborers in their community. The project was a joint effort between a number of churches in the area
The Indonesian Presbyterian Church was awarded a grant to create a history of the Indonesian Church in the DMV. The book will be on the way in the not to distant future. This project was a collaboration between a number of Indonesian Church, many outside the denomination

Rockville was able to help facilitate a program that worked with improving the Spanish of children who live in bi-lingual households. The hope is that this project will be able to be replicated in other churches within the presbytery
St Matthews used local mission grant money to create a garden. The garden is detailed in the following video
