Church of the Pilgrims engages the community outside their doors through direct service, community organizing, and community partnerships. One of their long-term mission projects is The Pilgrimage, a service-learning hostel and seminar center located on church grounds. The church also has deep roots with the Washington Interfaith Network and is a long-standing member of More Light Presbyterians. Other area organizations that are supported by Pilgrims include: Iona Senior Services, The Downtown Cluster of Congregations, Community Council for the Homeless and Food and Friends.
In partnership with the Community Coalition for Homeless at Friendship Place (CCH/FP) and the Friends Meeting House members participate in Open Table - serving Dupont Circle area homeless and poor on Sunday afternoons. Organic produce is provided through Pilgrims urban garden, 'Sacred Greens' which is pollinated through DC Honeybees, a local non-profit committed to urban beekeeping.
